There are multiple levels of data destruction available, ranging from simple reformatting your drive (also referred to as file deletion, or repartitioning), drive overwriting, and physical destruction of the storage medium.

CR Computer also provides both a Certificate of Destruction, and an affidavit of destruction letter. The certification states that all items and equipment received for destruction were destroyed in compliance with Federal, State, County and Local regulations.
An affidavit of destruction letter is prepared with the signatures of two witnesses who observed the destruction, the signatures are notarized.
